It is Susi Air, a local airline that dares to open a route to the island of Karimunjawa. This route is a route that is not yet in demand by other airlines. It has been proven that since the booming of Karimun Jawa tourism for about 2 years, no one has intended to open it. It was only Susi Air who dared to show off her teeth to help tourism in Karimun Java in particular and Indonesia in general.
However, there are small changes after the operation of this flight path. At the initial opening schedule, the plane to Karimun Jawa departs every Saturday and Sunday from Ahmad Yani Airport, Semarang. But after the end of May 2015, the schedule was changed to every Thursday and Friday. For those of you who want to try it, you can go directly to Ahmad Yani airport to book airplane tickets.
Information about changing the flight schedule to Karimun Jawa can be read directly in the online newspaper, TRIBUNNEWS. The full article is below:
“TRIBUNNEWS.COM, SEMARANG – The pioneer flight schedule for the Semarang-Karimunjawa route and vice versa was officially changed, Thursday (14/5/2015) yesterday. The flight route is almost two weeks old, since it was officially opened on May 2, 2015 it is now on the schedule board every day Thursday and Friday at Ahmad Yani International Airport.
“In response to input from passengers, it is actually appropriate if the flight schedule is still operated every Saturday and Sunday. According to them, our previous schedule supported tourism activities, namely on weekends. But again we are following the decision of the Budget Holder’s Authority,” said the Manager Operations and Services Kokapura Ground Handling Susi Air, Mulia Roji when contacted by the Central Java Tribune, Sunday (17/5/2015).
Mulia Roji said that since the inauguration of the route, passenger enthusiasm was very high. This is evidenced by the results of ticket sales and the filling of passenger seats is always full.
“If it’s on May 2 and 3, we haven’t seen it yet, because operations are still being carried out by internal parties. However, we have seen that the passenger load from May 9 and 10 continues to be full. We are very impressed, it is possible that this pioneering flight will be converted into a regular flight. if it meets capacity continuously and passenger demand is always high,” he added.
Currently, the departure schedule for the Semarang-Karimunjawa route is operated every Thursday and Friday at 06.30 WIB. Meanwhile, the Karimunjawa-Semarang route departs Thursday at 15.15 WIB and Friday at 13.25 WIB.”
