Yes, take advantage of the Lebaran holiday,” said one tourist from Yogyakarta who took part in the “Let’s Go Karimun Jawa” program, Ratna Indah Winarti (51) to KompasTravel in Tanjung Mas Port, Central Java, Saturday (18/7/2015).
Ratna participated in the marine tourism program from PT Pelni with 9 family members. So enthusiastic, he said that he had arrived at Tanjung Mas since 02.30 WIB. Previously, Ratna said she knew the information about this marine tourism package from a community group of travelers on social media.
In line with Ratna, other tourists who took part in this holiday program were Cinthya Resadi (15) and Nabila Yoanita (18). The brothers came with their parents and two younger siblings from Jakarta. “The six of us from East Jakarta took the car from 10 am yesterday (Friday). Join this package to know about Karimun Jawa. Also to fill the Lebaran holiday,” said Nabila.
Cintya and Nabila claimed to be invited by their father who knew about this tour package. They admitted that this Lebaran holiday was filled with PT Pelni’s marine tourism program to see the natural beauty of Karimun Jawa. “The beach is beautiful if you look at the photo. The sea has lots of fish,” said Cintya.
PT Pelni Public Relations Officer Ahmad Sujadi said the total number of tourists participating in the “Let’s Go Karimun Jawa program was 162 people. “Tourists came from Jakarta, Blitar, Yogyakarta and even Hong Kong,” he said.
Let’s Go Karimun Jawa is the first marine tourism package conducted by PT Pelni for tourists. This tour package offers tourist attractions such as snorkeling, cycling in Karimun Jawa, enjoying the sunset, and also seeing a shark sanctuary on Menjangan Besar Island.”
