How to breathe while snorkeling?

When doing snorkeling activities, the face will be sunk a little into the water. Then we inhale from the mouth that has been connected with the pipe to the top of the water. A snorkel in the form of a tube or pipe, the end of which is above the water surface, so that air can enter and make it easier for us to breathe even though our faces are facing the water.

Why doesn’t water enter the nose?

The trick is, a tool called a mask is made of flexible rubber that will cover half of the face so that water cannot enter through the nose. Even though we can’t swim, we can still snorkel. Because usually snorkeling activities are equipped with buoys so that we can float. To facilitate movement, usually there is also an additional tool for swimming, namely fins or frog shoes.

What technique do you use when snorkelling?

When you snorkel, only part of his body is under the surface of the water. When snorkeling, the tip of the snorkel is above the water surface so that air can enter.

What to pay attention to

1. Length of time below the surface
When you snorkel, you can’t stay underwater for long. You’ll need to rise above the water’s surface for the snorkel to get some air in.

2. Tools Used
Snorkel, life jacket, fins.

3. Who is snorkeling
Snorkeling can be done by anyone.

Good way of snorkeling

Check the snorkel gear before getting into the water. It’s better to put your hair in a ponytail if your hair is long and use a swimsuit that won’t interfere with your comfort during snorkeling. Put the mask on tightly and tightly. Use a life jacket, so we feel safer.

1. Get used to it

When you start to enter the water, get used to breathing in the surging sea water. Get used to the currents of sea water, you should not go against the current. Make yourself feel as comfortable as possible first, before starting to enjoy the underwater scenery.

2. Snorkel together

We’d better not be too far from the others. Invite friends or family who have often done this activity, so that we can continue to ask questions and be assisted by them when snorkeling. For example, if our legs suddenly cramp, immediately tell a friend or guide who is around us.

3. Don’t panic

Remember that snorkeling is a shallow dive, so don’t panic if something happens. As long as we follow the directions and stay calm, snorkeling will still be safe and fun.
